One of my fave films is David Lynch's D U N E. Yes, some stuff hit the cutting room floor but that doesn't mean the game is reduced because if it, although it's *really* tempting to want all the stuff, broken or not even though it would likely dissapoint.

It might not be to your taste but like many games 3rd party addons can cange things greatly to suit.įrom my chats with the devs/leads, this was never intended to be a DAYZ mod redux rather it's own thing. I *think* that many who love the DAYZ mod would feel the same if they went back.īut, if its really to one's taste and you find the mod, the *best* for you, then I respectfully advise you to go forth and play it!ĭAYZ isn't the mod, it's something distilled and refined from the mod. I still enjoy it but don't have that wide eyed wonder of my youth. I spent hundreds of hours in Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder and after playing Grimrock I tried to play them again, same effect, their sheer age and clunk almost instantly sent me back to Gromrock, even though my heat used as invested in it as it was in those classics. I can't imagine going back to Arma2 to the mod, I'd rather remember it fondly. I've always been an Arma 3 fan as I'm not actually a fan of "zombies" in any game.īut trying to play A3 a few days ago reminded me why I stopped, compared to DAYZ tge player controller and weapon handling feels so clunky. I get the fighting mechanics with punches and melee.and the throwing part.yes for the gear part and the jumping mechanics but other then that what does dayz sa have more to offer though? Theres stuff i like from both, I think they could learn a thing or two from re visiting an older version of the mod to be reminded of why some stuff, thats missing from SA, worked so well :) i get your points but still doesnt make it that much better then the mod? More fluid controls and finally a jump instead of vault. More in depth medical and hunting systems. Gear is better, no more single uniform, actual clothing items that have more impact on play. A riisk reward type deal where you get to travel fast, but you are noisy as hell and risk giving your camps location away much more. It had helicopters, a great end game mechanic for the whole server to strive for. The only time they messed up was on bridges. Vehicles functioned much better regardless of ping.

Game flow was better, hospitals on the coast and military up north gave a great dynamic that pulled geared players back to the coast and back up north. I have separated the suppressor from the SD version, and made it an attachment.Originally posted by Karmaterrorᵁᴷ:For me Dayz mod was better in a lot of ways. Scope has the original reticle and has has no zeroing options, and it only fits onto the M200. It uses the original sounds, and the bullets have close to the original ballistics (so called "auto-zeroing") no zeroing but shooting straight up to around 700m. I have tried my best to do this rifle justice, and to have it's likeness as close to the original.

The heavy, fluted barrel is free floated, and its rear part is enclosed by tubular shroud, which serves as a mount for integral folding bipod and carrying handle." The butt contains integral real monopod, which is hinged, and can be folded up when not in use.

The barrel can be quickly removed for replacement, or storage and transportation.

The retractable buttstock allows for adjustment of the length of pull, and can be fully collapsed for storage and transportation. "The Intervention M200 is a manually operated, rotating bolt rifle. This is a port of the infamous CheyTac Intervention M200 by USSRsniper [mod from ArmA 2.
